My Journey
Dogs have been a constant companion in my life since childhood. My parents adopted a yellowish Taiwanese Formosan Mountain Dog when I was a young boy, and we had her for a very long time until we had to move to Canada. I remember the night before we gave her away when she became unsettled and refused to come when called. It was heart-wrenching to say goodbye to such a beloved companion.
As a teenager, I bought a Yorkshire Terrier from a store, but I didn’t spend enough time with him. I sometimes forgot to let him out to pee, and he would hold it for a long time like a good boy. Unfortunately, he didn’t live a long life and passed away from cancer at the age of eight. It was then that I realized the importance of finding reputable breeders and avoiding inbreeding or consanguineous mating.
After our daughter turned six, we decided to grow our family by adopting both Mica and Tucker. It was a great decision that we don’t regret at all. They have become an integral part of our family, and we’re grateful for the joy and love they bring to our lives every day.
About S&N Dog Rescue & Adoption Society
They are foster-based and volunteer-run rescue. They do not have a physical location or set hours for you to meet the dog and it does take time to answer each inquiry. Their dogs usually get adopted online and they have videos to adipic their personality as much as they can.

Meet Mica, our lovable furry friend! Mica is a mix of Formosan Mountain Dog and Border Collie. As a shy girl, she takes her time to warm up to new people. But once she trusts you, she blossoms into a cute and adorable companion who loves nothing more than cuddles and playtime. We’re grateful to have Mica in our lives, and she has brought us so much joy and love that we wouldn’t trade her for anything in the world!
Meet Tucker, the sweetest pup you’ll ever encounter! Tucker is a unique mix of Formosan Mountain Dog, German Shepherd, and Labradoodle. He has a great sense of humor and can be quite the attention hog. You can’t help but laugh at his antics, especially when he gets jealous. But don’t let that fool you, he’s an adorable boy who loves nothing more than a good pat on his head and face. We feel lucky to have Tucker in our lives!
